This new year is exciting as I release my debut novel: "Something's Not Right With Lucy."
This is a story that I carried around in my head for years, and when I told it to a friend, he suggested the story would make a great book.
This was in 2012, and I wrote about one fifth of the book and then shelved it for two years to research and write a non-fiction book. After that, I published a few short stories, but Lucy kept nagging me to come out to play. I earnestly started to complete the book one year ago. Though the learning curve to self-publish a book was steep at times, I never faltered due to the encouragement of my editor, Brian Paone.
The genre is psychological horror: one of those stories that is both haunting--yet intriguing--taking readers on a unsettling journey.
The release date is January 30, 2018, but you can pre-order the ebook or print version now on Amazon. For readers who would love a signed copy and accompanying bookmark, order here at my website at dawnmtaylor.com
A book signing is scheduled for February 17 at Sweet Reads book store from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 407 Main Street in Austin, MN. A signed copy will be given away in a drawing.
Happy 2018 and may your life be filled with the joy that only reading a good book can bring!
